A Pennsylvania man reportedly killed a 679-pound black bear that was 5 yards away with a .357 handgun throughout final weekend’s opening of the state’s four-day bear harvest.
Jordan M. Tutmaher, the person, stated the bear emerged close to a Christmas tree patch, in response to the report. YourErie.com reported.
A complete of 1,241 black bears have been killed within the opening day, the report stated. The state’s greatest opening day was in 2011 when 1,936 bears have been harvested.
The most important bear harvested that day was a male estimated at 704 kilos, taken by a rifle at about 8:30 a.m., the report stated. .
Bears have been harvested in 53 counties throughout the statewide season up to now, the report stated.
